The Black Black
The Black Black
The BLACK BLACK formed in Brooklyn in September 2011. The trio creates their own brand of groove-heavy punk rock. Rock solid rhythms juxtaposed with powerful, driving bass lines and spastic guitars; all tied together with classic melodies. It's rock music that sinks into your bones and requires you to keep turning it up. The BLACK BLACK released their first EP "Music To Sell Drinks To" in January 2012 and will be playing shows all around the Northeast this Spring. The BLACK BLACK consists of Jonathan Daily (guitar/vocals), Chris Schnaars (bass/vocals) and Johnny Skwirut (drums).
Shapes
Shapes
Fanelli began SHAPES in 2003. Gutter-glam. A true melding of pop and punk, sans penis and fart jokes. Brutally honest and ugly lyrics set to undeniably poppy music. Songs of love and death. This music is the sound of yearning. An earnest, sober (sometimes… but not too often), & mournful acceptance that life will never be what you want it to, tempered by an undying youthful exuberance and acceptance of nothing. It is the sound of going down drinking and swinging. SHAPES, will forever go anything, but gentle(!), into that good night. SHAPES is made up of Fanelli (vocals), Mark Fletcher (lead guitar), Eamon Wagner (rhythm guitar), Asher Bodie (bass), Julia Monk (tambourine and synthesizer), and Eli Moose (drums).
Baby Brother
Baby Brother
Baby Brother is a Brooklyn based, rock, rhythm and blues group with super infused punk-country undertones. Lead singer and guitarist Jeremy Beazlie fronts a whopping group backed by lead guitarist and Texas born and raised Vincent Vitek, and from Seattle, Ian Hardie on drums and Ben Longwell on the bass. Hard, fun, kick you in the gut rock and roll for all ages, provided that you're used to a little profanity here and there, Baby Brother want's nothing more than to blow back your hair, and melt your pretty face. They're not asking you to leave anyone, they just want a little bit of your time. A new band looking to expand and re-mine rock origins, Baby Brother has such influences as: The White Stripes, Screaming Females, Bob Dylan, Junior Brown, BR-549, Queens of the Stone Age, Johnny Cash, John Lennon, and Nirvana. They work hard, and if you don't know them, they play hard. Strap yer boots for a show with songs of spooky ghost tales, uplifting rockers, tales of betrayal, abuse and...love? Baby Brother runs the gamut and so should you, so nod yer head, tap yer feet, and for God's sake, shake Yerbouti.
The New Surreal
The New Surreal
The New Surreal is Brooklyn's latest bold stab at restoring rock and roll from its faded glory. With heavy focus on meticulous songwriting, concise structure, memorable hooks, and his quizzical introspective musings, Chait's music possesses the timelessness that transcends genres.
