Push!, Stereo Off, Tiides, Globelamp
Stereo Off formed around what began as a solo project by lead singer Sebastian, and evolved over the past couple of years into a five piece indie rock band. Based across Brooklyn and Queens NY, the lineup currently includes Sebastian on vocals, Niall on guitar, Justin on bass, Darren on drums, and Bridget on both keyboard and viola. In the past couple years the band worked on building a base following, while playing some of New York’s top venues, such as Knitting Factory, Bowery Electric and Glasslands. They also had music featured in various short films that made festivals around the US and released their debut EP (New York EP5) in 2014 – which received a wide range of glowing reviews and year end “top 10” lists amongst indie bloggers and sites. After the EP release, the music video (which the band were also involved in the making of, along with short film makers “Dead Red Eyes”) for their single “Bullet Time” reached the finals of the NYC Independent Film festival and the Coney Island Film Festival in late 2014. In addition to that, the band also appeared at CMJ Music Festival 2014 in October and received press in both the UK and US. Following up from this and a single release of “Hotel Mirror” in late 2014, the band recorded the rest of its second EP in early 2015 and is releasing it officially at the start of July 2015 with a show at the Knitting Factory. With band members from New York and London, the group members met through college friends and band mates on their other projects. Stereo Off features musicians from various bands in NYC and London prior as well as a viola player from the Juilliard Masters program.
