SLAMDINISTAS bring raw, in-your-face, street rock and roll. Their song “BRAND NEW DAY” is getting massive radio respect, including regular play on Rodney Bingenheimer’s Sirius XM radio show on “Underground Garage”. This, and their incendiary live show at a label honcho’s Halloween Birthday Bash brought SLAMDINISTAS to the attention of Die Laughing Records/Golden Robot Records. What next? The prestigious label signed them immediately.

Slamdinistas influences range from 70’s English PubRock, Punk & Classic Rock, and especially the British scene, a la Stones and Faces, recalling the Glory Days of Rock + Roll.

Each band member has made claim to his own piece of music history – as they say, “Guilty by association!” by the music groups they’re associated with. Here are the members:

Gabriel Johns, Vocals, Longtime singer songwriter, LA Club Booker and worked with his own bands Shelter, FiDo.

Loren Molinare, Guitars and Producer, a Detroit transplant who’s band, The Dogs, have left a serious mark on the seminal Punk/Detroit rock scene. Also for Little Caesar and Michael Des Barres & The Mistakes.

Michael Gavigan, guitar, slide guitar and backup vocals. Also, plays guitar and produced recordings by The Blessings.

Paul ILL, bass, has recorded and performed with many artists including The Willie Dixon Family Band, Tina Turner and Linda Perry.

Brian Irving, Drums, has worked with Chris Spedding, Gilby Clarke

These fine gents, whose collective roots grip deep in the LA Rock Scene, realized their studio chemistry worked so well it is as if the band had several tours behind them. The sound born that on those fateful sessions brings you: SLAMDINISTAS

Neverland Ranch Davidians

As the name suggests, the Neverland Ranch Davidians don’t care a hoot for the niceties of popular culture, their chosen moniker a collision referencing two late 20th century icons: Michael Jackson and ‘Waco Savior’ David Koresh.

Appropriately, the L.A. trio’s sound is refreshingly confusing, blending distorted psych, primal rockabilly, hairy-assed punk, and chicken-fried soul like nothing on earth.

Linchpin of the band is guitarist/singer Tex Mosley: one-time alumnus of Philly’s legendary Afro-punks Pure Hell, for whom he co-wrote the track ‘No Rules’ before joining up with that band’s drummer Spider in Bad Actor. Relocating to the West Coast, Mosley embroiled himself in the L.A. punk scene, hooking up with Rik L. Rik in his band The Slaves, skatepunk legend Duane Peters in Gunfight, and Geffen-signed rockers The Hangmen.

Mosley joined forces with guitarist Will Bentley and drummer Max Hagen as the defiantly bassless Neverland Ranch Davidians, throwing down the gauntlet with their smoldering, psychotic R’n’B like the missing link between Blues Explosion, Suicide, and Stax Records. Now, Heavy Medication Records is proud to present their self-titled debut album.

Tex: “I’ve always loved the minimalism of Suicide, and that less-is-more approach is hardwired into the Davidians’ DNA, That’s probably why we never bothered recruiting a bass player. We’re huge fans of The Cramps and The Gories, neither of which had bass players, so we didn’t feel we needed one either.”
