Weathergirl
The Brooklyn based band, Weathergirl, set out to be a math rock/midwest emo band and soon realized their genre is an amalgamation of whatever sounds strikes their fancy as they write. Though it’s hard to describe precisely, they are frequently accused of making math-gaze. Much like their tendency to contrast heavy and soft sections in their songs, Weathergirl’s vocalists notably utilize a range of vocal techniques from wispy 3 part harmonies to unfettered guttural screaming.
